Will I be able to send a signal from midronome to lets say the sidechain input of a Elysia xpressor compressor to trigger the side chain.

Hi :)

Well that's a very specific question, and very interesting usage! :D
It depends what kind of trigger signal the compressor has?

The Midronome has an analog output which can be set to different ppq (parts per quarter note), it sends a 5V pulse of about 1ms. If your compressor can react to that then yes ;)

But why would you want a compressor acting on every beat?

Thank you for the reply.

You want the compressor to act on every beat so that it ducks the kick, you get that pumping feeling which you tweak to taste with the attack/release settings.

You may want to have a look at the Suonobuono nABC+, an analog, digitally controlled sidechain compressor:

https://suonobuono.net/nabcp/

It can be triggered by audio, CV, MIDI DIN, MIDI USB, and is also MIDI CC controlled.

Yet another west european engineer/scandinavian boutique product. :D

Looks very neat! That’s something I have been looking for for a very long time! Will look into that, thanks for the suggestion!

Off topic, as far as I know, this pumping effect is achieved by sending the kick signal to a sidechain on a compressor to duck other instruments, mainly bass and synths.
