Re: Midi forwarding: Overcoming the 125 byte-limit
Thanks for posting here. It's an interesting point - my main reason for disabling long sysex messages is because they will for sure disturb the clock. But maybe that's an acceptable behavior, thinking nothing important will be happening while long sysex messages are sent (typically for updates, conf...

Let me add here that a reason for this feature could be the Linn Drum, which requires 48ppq.

Re: Request: Metronome Clicks as MIDI Notes
Thank you for the suggestion! Your approach is very interesting, though very unique as well. Implementing this would be very easy, though if I ever implement it it will definitely be an option-free feature as it would otherwise clutter the device. The problem is I doubt many people would actually us...

Re: Plugin / Sync Audio Coming back through Midronome's Headphone Out
Hi :) I think what you hearing is not the sound of the plugin (though it sounds slightly like it), but the buzz resulting of a ground loop in the audio circuit. This is a well-known issue which has quite a few workarounds. Could you please check this topic: https://forum.midronome.com/viewtopic.php?...

Re: Threaded mounting point
If you already had plans for this, maybe you could make some pointers on where the thread would go? My main concern would be to avoid putting the hole in the proximity of device's internals. Yes you're right this was one of my biggest concerns. The best spot is pretty obvious if you open your Midro...

Re: Ways to Sync Analog Modular Synth with Midronome Tempo?
Hi :) Well without look into details, there seem to be an input called "LFO Rate"? So you could try 1) configuring the Midronome to send a 1ppq pulse: An.L setting to On (or PLA) and An.1 to 1 2) plug a cable from the ANLG output on the Midronome to the LFO Rate input on the Mavis See if t...

Thanks for the suggestion! :) Actually I've already considered making a special red metal plate (it would basically replace the current plate) with a threaded hole so you could mount it on a microphone stand. Re: Midronome Add-on Modules!
r.e. the Swing and Latency module - the blurb says "2 MIDI Outputs" but will they be able to output DIN Sync or will there be an analog output so we can swing a DIN sync signal? Would be great to be able to swing an 808, 303 etc with a variable swing amount. My thoughts were MIDI only but...

i need to have my main notes device (Arturia Keystep 37) be able to send note data to the Midronome, and have the notes then passed on with Midi Thru to several synth devices.... Well you can thank Nektarios who just posted a solution in the Midronome FB Group: For users of (un)Ableton Live which still doesn't have a solo safe/defeat function and every time you solo something, your Midronome VST track gets muted (along with the clocks going to your hardware). Using the "...

Re: Clock Settings for MIDI Synths
Hi Adam
Thanks for asking here! The An.L, An.1 and An.2 settings are only affecting the clock coming out of the ANLG port, so if you are only using the MIDI Out 1 & 2 ports you can ignore those settings

Re: Syncing Midronome to eurorack
Correct, you'll need an adapter TRS -> 2xTS It seems 3.5mm TS is not very common, so most of them you will find are 3.5mm male TRS -> 2x 6.35mm male TS (for example the one shown in the attachment) (TRS are the ones with "2 lines" while TS only have "1 line") Then you'll need an ...

@Bogdan: yes that's the idea, after Ableton Link (in fact it might come on the same module). My idea has been to get the algorithm from Ableton, but that might also be a challenge in terms...

Re: Syncing Midronome to eurorack
Glad you asked! :D If you configure the ANLG output as "DIN Sync", it will have a start/stop gate on the right/ring part of the plug, and run at 24ppq on the left/tip part of the plug (as per vintage Roland devices require on a DIN Sync plug). But Firmware 3.0 will come with a full Reset i...

Hi sineman, thank you for asking here! You can technically use software to forward the clock sent by the Midronome (over USB) to your devices (also over USB). Oh actually I did not think of this, but yes it would work: 2 Midronomes, one (slave) set with inP=2.4.P. and the the other as master, with An.L=PLA and An.1=12 Then connect a cable from the ANLG output of the master to the INPUT of the slave. Then press Play and there you go your slave is running a...
