Re: Independent Stop/Starts on Chained Units

Hi ST :) Yes absolutely - just link 2 Midronomes for example, then you can get 4 play/stop buttons, each sending start or stop on their dedicated MIDI Port. The "second play/stop button" is the Mute button (which is reconfigured). This is something we are still discussing, how to make it c...

Resync (restart) MIDI msg every X bars

Hi :) Reptil from gearspace ( https://gearspace.com/board/reviews/1376188-midronome-aps-midronome.html ) mentioned that it could be useful to have the Midronome automatically send a restart/resync MIDI message every X bar. Just FYI the resync/restart function is already implemented, pressing on the ...

Re: Metronome tempo presets via MIDI PC# messages

Nice, thank you 1vl. If changing a MIDI output to a MIDI input on the fly is at all possible, it's definitely not easy (because of the way MIDI is made, the hardware behind a MIDI output and a MIDI input is very different). So this will require either an extra plug, or then it will use the USB plug....

Re: Midi sync

The real question is: why on earth would you want to slave a master clock? :D  But no seriously - it is designed to work as a master, also works best this way. Unless you are using a DAW which cannot sync to MIDI Clock (i.e. all DAWs except Ableton Live or Bitwig Studio), then the Midronome wil...

Re: Offset and time signature

Ok I see :) Clock dividing is already possible on the CV/Analog outputs. But I can see the usage to have it on the MIDI Outputs as well - I would say most machines have that function already? i.e. you can send them a clock and they divide it as it pleases them :) Regarding 2/ I have considered this ...

Re: MIDI Forwarding: receive MIDI Notes from USB and send them further

If there is a clock at the MIDI in, the MIDIgal tightens it up and improves its jitter. Ha ha that really triggered me, I had to take a look :D :D I would guess it only improves jitter from really bad clocks. They use the same CPU as the papanome ( https://www.midronome.com/images/about/midro-v01.j...

Hi Mindwarp :) Shifting/offset is already in discussion here: https://forum.midronome.com/viewtopic.php?t=46 How would you have different time signature for the MIDI Clock? MIDI Clock is only tempo information, the only "time signature" part of the Midronome is on the audio click (which is...

Re: MIDI Forwarding: receive MIDI Notes from USB and send them further

Right now the Midronome only sends the MIDI Clock, either generated directly or based on tap tempo or audio input (sync signal from DAW f.x.).

This topic is precisely about receiving MIDI Notes on the USB port and being able to send them further using the MIDI Outputs.

Re: Send MIDI Clock from the USB port

+1 for midi over usb. one usb cable and having the midi clock without the audio cable would be a great future. but the plugin would als ne working with the usb only connection. Ha ha wait till you hear what Kovmenius thinks about electric cars :D :D This is an easy one to change - but to be honest I feel strongly against it, the big chunky USB Type B cable fits very well with Live usage because it sits firmly in ths socket. Re: Latency adjustment

Awesome, guys, thanks for writing.

@n4Sphere: will the solution written above fit for you? There will be no knob to change it directly, i.e. the only way to adjust will be in the settings. The idea being that you set it once so it fits your needs, and that's it.

Re: Expression pedal to make change tempo

No this is software-only change, the input will be the pedal input. Which means you will not be able to use this AND a drum pad, or this AND the DAW sync, as they all use the same physical input. And btw software-only changes definitely have a bigger chance to be implemented. Hardware changes requir...
