Re: soling tracks ableton loses sync
Thanks for reporting :) Though I am going to reject this as it is an Ableton issue not a Midronome Plugin issue. The Midronome plugin is on a track, so yes when you solo another track all other tracks are muted, including the Midronome plugin track: so the sync stops, that makes sense. What you are ...

Re: Suddenly devices are restarting after 1 bar
3. The play button is blinking during the first bar and is lit at the second. Thanks for trying all of this :) This point is clearly the problem - blinking means it will send a reset on the next bar... which it does :D It sounds like your DAW is sending MIDI to the Midronome - for example if you se...

Re: Negative Offset/Shift/Latency
I don't use Ableton Live so I can't do that and Bitwig doesn't have track delay. I just meant that as an example of a "negative" delay, not as a replacement for this feature - sorry if this was not clear ;) So being able to offset one of the MIDI outputs won't be available on the base uni...

Re: Negative Offset/Shift/Latency
Ha ha I'm the OP :D But in any case any feedback is much appreciated :) And with "positive" delay I mean you machines will play later than everything else. I undestand that people obviously want a negative delay, the question was more "would you be able to make it work with a positive...

Re: Syncing with Logic X (specifically using the plug in and midronome syncing to tempo set by DAW)
Hi Adam :) As written in the PDF, you need to create a Software Instrument Track, not a MIDI track. This type of track outputs audio and the plugin will generate sound (you can listen to it, it will sound like a very loud buzz) which you will need to route to a dedicated output on your audio interfa...

Re: Suddenly devices are restarting after 1 bar
Hi :D That's a very strange behavior indeed. Could you please check: at what point the plugin starts sending audio (first bar or second bar) at what point the "Locked" LED / BPM display is on (first bar or second bar) is the Play button blinking during the first bar? try the same setup wit...

Re: Syncing Two DAWs
Hi :) Well you're trying to sync two pieces of software, running on the same machine (I suppose), using a piece of hardware? :D I would highly recommend using a software solution - which one, I'm not sure. There must be something that exists for this somehow, maybe you're on the right track with Max...

Hi Peter
That does sound strange indeed - it does sound like a bug
I'll test it and get back to you!
Thanks for reporting it in any case!

Hi :) Thanks for asking here - je parle francais aussi mais on va rester en anglais ici pour que les autres puissent lire aussi ;) People have tried and unfortunately syncing Loopers is not always easy - the RC300 will not sync to MIDI Clock properly. from-facebook-community-group.png (this is taken...

Re: MIDI out power output question
Hi again
That will work fine. The Midronome's MIDI runs at 3.3V as written in the Tech Specs.
And I've used a MIDI Thru box from MIDI Solutions (also powered via MIDI) which worked fine.

Re: Will the Strymon mini Tap Tempo pedal work with the Midronome?
Hi :) Thanks for asking here. The Midronome will work with any simple footswitch, both latching and momentary (either polarity). So my guess would also be yes - though it is not clear on their website if this is a simple footswitch or if there is anything particular inside. But since it is not power...

Re: Tempo catch-up/resync by tapping (tap tempo or external pad)
Well it's on the roadmap for Firmware 3.0: https://forum.midronome.com/viewtopic.php?t=268 Or is this something different? Note that there is no ETA for Firmware 3.0 for now. And this feature in particular is still quite a challenge to implement, so I would rather keep your expectations low until I ...

Re: Analog Clock 2 Speed/Output
Hi Julian :) Thanks for registering and asking here :D You're exactly right. And the output for analog clock 2 is on the right/ring channel of the ANLG port. To access them both you'll need a simple TRS->2xTS splitter cable, for example this one: https://www.thomann.de/de/cordial_cfy_03_wyy.htm Chee...

Re: Missing the first beat
Hi Jamie Can you record the Midronome's metronome? I would be really surprised if it does not start right on the first beat. If it does, it means the MIDI Clock is sent from the Midronome from the first beat, then it must be a setting on the Octatrack that somehow gets it to start a beat later. Do y...

Re: Negative Offset/Shift/Latency
Hi Maarten :) For now, unless a feature is on a roadmap, it is only being considered. I also have to say that this particular feature was ranking pretty low (suprisingly!) in the survey. My plan has been to implement it as a module - probably on the same module that will have swing. I imagine a modu...

Re: How to Convert/Read .Wav Tracks From XDJ-RX2 to Midi
Thanks Danny for posting here. As I said to Danny over email, all is needed is for the XDJ to play a MidroSync WAV file (or any sharp audio pulses at 24ppq/64th triplet notes) on a dedicated separate output. Then this can be sent to the Midronome with the "inP" setting set to "Syn&quo...

Re: I don't see the midi ports "OUT 1" or OUT 2" in Ableton
Hi :) I tested the whole process and you should not need to do anything on Windows. I plugged a device with Firmware 1.1 which had only 3 interfaces, then updated it to Firmware 2.0 and the two new interfaces showed up automatically. The only thing seems that the Device Manager gets confused with th...

Re: Still strugglign with Midi Jitter/Delay in Ableton
I understand now, thanks for the clarification Bruno :) I'm working on getting a solution for this - I also contacted Ableton to see if the integration could be made a bit better. In the meantime you can do as you said, or also use a MIDI file to trigger the pulses as macdalor did here: https://foru...

Re: Still strugglign with Midi Jitter/Delay in Ableton
It was without any adjusting but today its 3ms delay, but i can adjust that now with the delay on the Midronome Track. Im sending the clock to a Kenton midi-Thru 5 where my digitakt is connected to, which i use mostly for drums. I figured out that i have to set the delay on the tracks in Ableton wh...

Re: I don't see the midi ports "OUT 1" or OUT 2" in Ableton
Hi! I did not know this issue existed for Windows. I can investigate next week, but my guess would be the same: open the Device Manager in Windows, then find the Midronome, right click and choose "uninstall". Let me know if this helps, if not I'll investigate more and come with a proper so...

Re: Still strugglign with Midi Jitter/Delay in Ableton
The problem is solved, it really was the Ableton monitoring "Bug". I actually know this issue and always record instruments and percussion on a track where the monitor is off. With the monitor off, the clock is perfect on time (1ms delay). Awesome! :D Just wondering, is the delay 1ms afte...

Re: out of Sync logic pro
I know about the track delay option in Live but this is unfortunately not available in logic which is my DAW of choice so it would really be helpfull if you could implement one on the plugin itself if possible ;) Yes that's the plan - for the next plugin version, but I'm not sure when it will come ...
