[F] Minor feature - send All MIDI Notes Off with MIDI Stop
Original topic: https://forum.midronome.com/viewtopic.php?t=127 This is about sending All MIDI Notes Off (MIDI CC 123) on all channels at the same time MIDI Stop is sent, every time. This will not be an option, the message MIDI CC 123 will be sent on all 16 channels right after MIDI Stop is sent, ev...

Re: Midronome hangs USB-bus
Thanks for reporting :) Could I have your OS version (as precise as possible please), and your computer brand and model (also as precise as possible). Note that this might be difficult to solve as my guess is that it is very specific to your setup (combination of OS + hardware). And solving a bug wi...

Re: Daw Sync Plug-In + Usamo comparison
Could you just give us the specs on what the audio stream should look like, I think it should be easy to make an instrument in Ableton that spits out the sync stream. Yes please :) Like Matt said just look at the files generated by the Sync File Generator tool, it's very simple, only 2 pulses, smal...

Re: Separate and Reset mode both enabled does not reset Port 2
Thank you very much Stefan for making the videos :) I moved the posts to a new topic for clarity - separating the preset/program change thing from this issue. If I understood well: On Video 1, the problem is that the pedal is acting only one MIDI Port 1 while the button is acting on both? That's bec...

Re: Programchange function
For the program change, yes I understand, but when would you send the porgram change message? at every tempo change? And then which value should it be? I think this could be implemented if Tempo Presets are implemented (see https://forum.midronome.com/viewtopic.php?t=211 ), then yes it would make se...

Re: Negative Offset/Shift/Latency
Ha ha well unless you have a time machine, you literally cannot move things backwards in time :D :D The only way I could potentially do it is to "predict" the future, i.e. say we are currently at tempo 120, 4/4, then I know when the device will be on the next beat so the negatively shifted...

Good point! And Matt, if you can, I would really like to "hear" how the noise sounds like when you use the problematic power supplies, if you don't mind recording it? Cheers Simon EDIT : just FYI Matt and I have been talking over private message, what he experiences is not related to this ...

Re: Daw Sync Plug-In + Usamo comparison
I'm confused with the plugin - doesn't it just need to spit out a pulse that is synced to the DAW tempo? Ha ha you're right - it "just" need, I also thought this was going to be easy  :D But basically the pulse needs to be exactly on time with the DAW transport - that's the difficult...

Partial Beat Detection / Tempo Following
This idea comes from Thomas who wrote it to me by email. Instead of having a full beat detection like the one for the add-on module (see https://forum.midronome.com/viewtopic.php?t=70 ), this would be about implementing a simpler algorithm which could just follow a Live drummer playing. The idea wou...

Amazing! Thanks for sharing
Regarding syncing the app, if it does not follow MIDI Clock this is not really possible? How else would you sync the app?

Re: DAWs following Midronome
I second this request -- I actually didn't realize it wouldn't be possible to slave my DAW, Reaper, to Midronome (my mistake) and this has severely impacted it's utility in practice. If I could give this kind functionality all 6 of my votes I would! Thanks for commenting :) I just want to point out...

Re: Daw Sync Plug-In + Usamo comparison
Damn, neither of the two DAW's I use support this obscure format (Bitwig and Reason). You mean the ARA format? Yea that's true. But they can both sync to MIDI Clock though. Just FYI I'm not against making a non-ARA plugin, but honestly it's not great because clearly the VST interface was designed t...

Thanks John for writing here. I like this, and especially once the MIDI notes forwarding has been implemented this will be very easy to add. Re: Pad/footswitch recommendation for tap tempo
Happy to hear you like the device Ash :) Footswitches can pretty much be anything, and the Midronome will accept both latching and non-latching, as well as automatically detect the polarity. Drum pads can be a bit more tricky because some are more sensitive than others, but hopefully the 3 sensitivi...
