Re: Length of Sync File
That's great news, I also record jams that last several hours. Changing the tempo while I play is quite important for me as well, so I hope you find a solution for that too. I'm afraid the new version will not let you change the tempo while you play, to do that you would need is a plugin :D (no pro...

Re: CV output is noisy?
Am I using the wrong type of cable? Is there a way to reduce the "noise" on the Midronome side to just the clock pulses? Hi Dave Yes that's unfortunately true, it's caused by a ground loop, which makes the Midronome's display noise take the wrong path. Basically that noise should be on th...

Re: Power Consumption Estimate
Yes, people have :) There was a short discussion about it on the facebook group. Basically, the Midronome draws too little power for the Power bank to register there is something connected. You can try changing the brightness to increase the power consumption - the power bank I have at home turns of...

Re: iConnectivity mioXM / mioXL
Hi John :) This is very interesting, and I'd be happy to investigate a bit more. The Midronome is USB-MIDI class compliant, but it creates 1 MIDI input interface and 2 MIDI output interfaces, maybe that is what confuses the MioXL? (most devices will create 1 in and 1 out) Any other thought about why...

Re: will Analog Sync work with external hardware?
Hi :) As long as the Midronome receives what it is supposed to, then yes it will work with anything. But notice that for Audio Sync you cannot simply send a click, you need to send a special sync audio file generated by the Sync File Generator tool. But if your MPC can play the file, then yes it wil...

Re: Multiple devices on Windows
My idea would be: new setting in the Midronome called "ID", a number from 1 to 99 The MIDI Devices name on the OS will be (for ID=3 f.x.) -> Midronome 3 Clock & Start -> Midronome 3 Clock only -> Midronome 3 Commands Problem is while Mac is decent at getting the name of the devices, Wi...

Awesome hez, thank you so much for sharing I'm sure a lot of people would love it if we could put a link to that Bitwig Grid Patch somewhere
As for this - it could be changed, in particular using your two assumptions. I would love to hear if other people feel the same way

Ok I see, thank you David. But if the device manager sees all the devices, then the OS connects to the all the devices. Re: Very loud hum in audio output when connected to computer
Hi Holyver :) Yes I'm afraid that's all correct  It's a ground loop, it's like when you are at a gig and draw an unbalanced cable from the mixing table to the stage, you get 60Hz or 50Hz noise from the AC transformer. Except that here the noise is from the display. But it's on the ground path,...

Re: Latency adjustment
Negative would be handy, and should be simple to add … as I practice you just add the negative amount to every other output. Correct, the "negative" on one output will basically shift everything else positively. When using it as a master you probably won't notice it. But when syncing to a...

Thanks for reporting :) We'll look into this but it might be difficult to solve. In the meantime, if this ever happens to you, there is a simple workaround: close all other MIDI software (DAWs, etc.) . Don't panic if you see your device is only starting the bootloader: as the firmware update failed ...

It does not have to, you can always send it using the buttons. Sending it form the PC has basically the same effect as pressing the buttonJ. John Mixson wrote: ↑08 May 2023, 22:03 I meant when using the sync track, the manual states that Start must be sent from the PC over USB.

Re: DAT ERR when trying to upgrade firmware
Hi :) Someone had the same issue on the FB group - it was because Ableton was running and sending MIDI Data to the bootloader. That would explain both why the device shows "Dat err" (it received wrong data) and why the Firmware Updater tool cannot find the device (it is already in use by a...

Hi again John
Yes I think that's already the case? The Play button will blink during the sync period (display showing "---"), and the MIDI Start message will only be sent at the beginning of the next bar on the MIDI ports.
