Re: Send MIDI Clock from the USB port
+1 for midi over usb. one usb cable and having the midi clock without the audio cable would be a great future. but the plugin would als ne working with the usb only connection. That will not replace the Audio sync with the DAW. This feature is only to send MIDI Clock to DAWs that accept it, i.e. Ab...

Re: usb c
Ha ha wait till you hear what Kovmenius thinks about electric cars :D :D This is an easy one to change - but to be honest I feel strongly against it, the big chunky USB Type B cable fits very well with Live usage because it sits firmly in ths socket. USB C cables are very small and with a tiny conne...

I'll investigate and see what I can do
But with the current way the code is written it's a lot of work to do it over USB - as explained here: https://www.midronome.com/faq.html?i300=1#i300

Re: Latency adjustment
Awesome, guys, thanks for writing.
@n4Sphere: will the solution written above fit for you? There will be no knob to change it directly, i.e. the only way to adjust will be in the settings. The idea being that you set it once so it fits your needs, and that's it.

Re: Midi and MTC
Hi! Thank you for sharing :) And your english is perfectly fine! Regarding your questions: 1) The Midronome does not send MTC. I experimented a bit with MTC and found it very unstable so I did not bother looking further into it. But why would you need it? In particular with Ableton, as it can sync v...

Re: Tempo presets
Ok - been giving this some thought, and actually I think it's doable without hardware changes? All of these new features like this one, the tempo nudge, the expression pedal, will all be deactivated by default in order to avoid overwhelming new users :D For this one, I am thinking a quite cumbersome...

Re: Latency adjustment
Ha ha good point about putting a delay on the metronome - did not think of that :D I understand about the delay, and yes I guess most people would want a negative offset. I'll experiment implementing a simple setting then, which will be a negative offset on one MIDI Port. I'll keep this thread updat...

Nice to hear Daniel and thank you for writing! :) Are you also the one who gave me that whole list on Facebook about how many usages you have of the per-output latency adjustment? :D I'm gonna be very open about this - there are two issues with implementing this: 1) First because of the way the MIDI...

Re: Expression pedal to make change tempo
No this is software-only change, the input will be the pedal input. Which means you will not be able to use this AND a drum pad, or this AND the DAW sync, as they all use the same physical input. And btw software-only changes definitely have a bigger chance to be implemented. Hardware changes requir...

Gosh, now I imagine, all of these giant things synced by that teeny little box...
You can sync multiple Midronomes together, so in your case maybe you should get like 10 or 20 - make it a GINOURMOUS Midronome!

Great idea about the two virtual ports!
Problem is more the hardware but if that's sorted might as well make two virtual ports instead of one

Re: Nudge tempo function
Hi :) Thank you for writing! Do you mean pressing on the knob instead of pressing the tap tempo button? If so, that would work, the current knob we have is quite "tough" (on purpose), and I personally would find it relatively hard to press and turn at the same time. We can leave this to th...

[DONE] Send MIDI Clock from the USB port
This one is pretty easy: the USB port on the device would also be used to send MIDI Clock to your DAW, or any software that would accept it. Notice that with the current device, all you need is a simple MIDI to USB cable to be able to do this, for example this one: https://www.thomann.de/intl/midite...

Expression pedal to change tempo
This would make one more usage of the "INPUT" of the Midronome, where you would be able to connect an expression pedal, like the ones you use with electric pianos or wah guitar effects. In the setup of the Midronome, you would select input, then expression, then you would be able to calibr...

Hi :) I did think about people from the American continent and yes it would not be fair to open the campaign while you’re all sleeping :D I was thinking setting the time to 18 Danish time (GMT/UTC +1). That would make it 9 am in California and 12 (noon) in Detroit. Do you think that’s fair? :) /Simon

Re: sync to harddisc recorder
Oh interesting the Zoom R20 I did not know that one :) Clearly inspired from their LiveTrak models actually - just with (a lot) less options. I actually had a look at its manual, and it seems you cannot route separate tracks to outputs or headphones - otherwise you could have used one for monitoring...

Re: sync to harddisc recorder
Hi Trigga Thank you for asking here :) It will work if you can send a sync track from your Zoom device. Say your device has at least one physical output that you are not using, and you can somehow load a WAV file which is sent to that physical output (and nothing else is sent there), then you have a...

Re: Using the audio input...
The drummer of my band uses the big knob on the midronome to do precisely that, mid-song. During a certain section of a song we gradually ramp up from 160 to about 170/180 bpm. It took some getting used to and I have to say we do all play with click on our ears, but it's certainly doable! Oh - I di...

Re: Using the audio input...
I think that the idea of adjusting tempo manually during performance is next to impossible - any natural excitement would be killed by having to remember to up the bpm... That's literally the whole reason I created the device in the first place - to go up and down as you "feel" the song, ...

Hey Niall :) You're not the first one to ask about this - basically what you want is some form of tempo detection from normal music/audio.
