Re: out of Sync logic pro
Hi :) Thanks for asking here! I do not think you are doing anything wrong if the gear and Logic are in fact in time. Can you measure the offset? It will usually be 1-2ms, maybe a bit more depending on your gear. What matters is that the offset is constant (it should be - otherwise there is probably ...

Yes I think adding support for x/8 time signatures is a good idea too
Will this be enough for those of you asking for a metronome subdivision?

Re: Still strugglign with Midi Jitter/Delay in Ableton
Hi Bruno & PABZ - thanks for sharing your experience :) Could you both try to record the "AUDIO" output plug of the Midronome? Then try to use the track delay to see if it moves with it (it should!). Note that the Track Delay will not work if you have any monitoring enabled in Ableton ...

Re: Tempo presets
Why I am thinking of a song mode app or, maybe even being able to access the "Tempo Preset" via midi cc or similar command, is simply to speed up the process when switching between songs :) :) Thanks for the feedback :) If/when presets are implemented, there will definitely be a possibili...

Re: Midronome PLAY flashes after DAW is stopped when using 2.4.P.
I guess the blinking is just very distracting to me. Is there another way to indicate being armed without this? Could the display show ARM instead of - - - ? That's an interesting suggestion - the problem is it has to fit with the other modes otherwise it's confusing. And in the other modes the dis...

Re: Sleep? Or pulling the Plug?
Hi :D We definitely did not, and yes it's a great suggestion, I like it! 8-) The device already goes into deep sleep mode if connected to a laptop which itself goes into sleep mode (as per the USB specification). How would you want the device to wake up, then? And while we are discussing power savin...

Support for other time signatures (6/8, 2/2, 4/2, etc.)
Hi guys :) This topic is about adding a setting in the Midronome supporting other time signatures, basically adding a "denominator" to the "bar" setting, which is for set to 4. My idea would be that in the settings, you can select "bar" as before, but after pressing the...

Re: analog clock out and a passive multiplier
Hi :) As I wrote in the email, it's a matter of impedance. Short answer: it will work fine. :D Technical explanation: --------- You want the input impedance Zin to be "much higher" than the output impedance Zout , so the voltage is maintained. The received voltage will be: 5V * Zin / (Zin+...

Re: Still struggling to sync Ableton to the Midronome
Maybe it has something to do with my soundcard, I have a MOTU Ultralite AVB. Could be that the phase is inverted compared to what Simon uses. A very good point! I actually thought about it but until now I had not heard that issue from anyone. Basically the plugin sends "positive" pulses, ...

Re: VST3 Plugin support for x/8 time signatures
Hey guys - so I was actually in the process of implementing this in the plugin when I realized something. In fact x/8 signatures are now implemented: the plugin doubles the tempo and changes the "beats per bar" setting of the Midronome to x. That way a 6/8 time signature will sound correct...

Thanks for reporting. Interesting that both of you guys think this is a bug... :D In any other mode than "2.4.P.", you can see that: The Play button is constantly on when your sequencers are playing The Play button is off when you sequencers stop If you press it while the sequencers are of...

I understand your situation, I still think it's very weird FL does not let you use the same USB-MIDI interface for both the DAW and the plugin  I mean it's all software, surely it's not that difficult to send the same data to two different places :D As for your request let's see what others sa...

Re: Not Seeing AU Plugin In Logic

Re: Suggestion For Both USB-MIDI [IN] to Send Start/Stop
Well that's a funny one :D Most device only have one interface that would send everything, I only put these two so that you can choose if you want your DAW/software to follow clock only or also start/stop. So you're saying that if there was only one interface, the Mobius VST would not be able to rec...

Re: I don't see the midi ports "OUT 1" or OUT 2" in Ableton
Hi Conor, thanks for asking here
It's probably because MacOS needs to update the device since the USB-MIDI interface has changed.
See the User Guide section 4 on how to do it (the paragraph called "Important")
Let us know how it goes
Cheers

Re: Smoothing / Averaging Audio Clock Input
Actually this might come with Firmware 3.0. Basically the sync to 1ppq to 12ppq will be a rather complex algorithm where the Midronome slowly adjust to the sync signal and the phase of that signal (= start of beat). Once this is implemented, it can easily be adapted for 24ppq, which will work for yo...

Re: [A] Inconsistent timing from AAX plugin
It seems the issue only appears when recording, and only when recording from a bar. For some reason Pro Tools gets the plugin to send 2 extra pulses before the recording starts
Quick workaround: do not record from the beginning of the session and use a tiny preroll (for ex 0|0|001).

Ok I tried to reproduce the issue and yes it's very easily reproducible :) Sorry about that - I should have tried to reproduce the error right away. For my defense I very often get "issues" because people's setup is wrong so I assumed it was the same  Anyways - you can leave this to ...

Re: Use the Midronome Dial to Control Daw
I mean the idea of simply using the plugin's MIDI data (or a note to cc plugin like you did - but I think this is quite advanced for most Ableton users) to control the Midronome is really brilliant - I think we might add a specific video about this

Re: I get Juice error stating 'Your DAW does not seem to support ARA' in Ableton Live 11 on Windows 11 for VST3 plugin
Then you must have had that old MidroAudioSync plugin already installed :) If you look at the name of the file/folder you downloaded, it's called "Midronome.vst3" - that's the name of the plugin, not MidroAudioSync ;) Note that on Windows you need to copy the whole Midronome.vst3 folder, n...

Re: Inconsistent timing from AAX plugin
Wow, thanks again for the video this is super helpful!! Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this. Clearly my previous theory was wrong. I have a new theory: looking at the recording it looks like the sound is exactly 2 pulses early. So maybe the plugin sends 2 pulses before the DAW starts playing/...
