Re: [WIP] DIN Sync / sync24 timing issues

Ahhh Justin you found them just when I did :D Basically yes, just like you did now, I found the issue: some pulses are skipped - also a bug! That explains the getting out of sync at tempo 68 or 118. See attached screenshot. That's huge progress guys, now I know what the issue is and I can reproduce ...

Re: [A] DIN Sync / sync24 timing issues

For more testing I synced the 606 with this setup: Midronome -> MIDI -> Keystep37 -> DIN sync -> 606 and there is not the slightest drifting, very exact and tight timing I've been testing and looking at things today, and this message particularly got my attention. So I looked at what the Keystep wa...

Re: [A] DIN Sync / sync24 timing issues

Thank you Justin, very happy to hear you were able to sort out the noise issue. I think the sync issue is a simple signal issue, completely unrelated to the noise one. I have much data and info from you and Frank now, I will investigate these days and send a beta firmware for both of you to test :) ...

Re: [A] DAW Plugin - community open-source project

It has to be quite "loud" indeed if you compare to listening on headphones (0.3V into your headphones would sound super loud), but because the impedance is very high it should be no problem at all to reach those levels with any audio interface. The Midronome can do it (when daisy-chaining ...

Double-tap Drum Pad to start/stop

Hey guys I've been talking with Bogdan over Messenger and he mentioned the One.2 from the German company Ploytec which has some pretty interesting features ;) (see http://www.ploytec.com/one2/ ) Their device does not have much buttons, you can only tap it, so they implemented a double-tap as a start...

Re: [A] DAW Plugin - community open-source project

Thanks for testing Jack! If everything works and is set up correctly, losing the sync should never happen (on my setup, in Studio One with the ARA plugin, using a 12 years-old Mac and a very old audio interface, it literally never loses the sync no matter what I do). Could you double-check that: onl...

Re: [A] DIN Sync / sync24 timing issues

Thank you so much Frank, actually great timing because I'm literally going to look at it this week! I have an idea of what the cause could be, I'd say it has a good 80% chance of solving the problem :D I'll make a beta version of the firmware with the fix, it would be great if you (or anyone else) c...

Minor feature - assign a number to change USB device name

Original topic: https://forum.midronome.com/viewtopic.php?t=202 This is about having the possibility to assign a number to your Midronome which will be reflected in the name of the USB MIDI devices when connecting it to a computer. This way it will be easier to identify it when connecting multitple ...

Re: Midronome hangs USB-bus

Thanks for reporting :) Could I have your OS version (as precise as possible please), and your computer brand and model (also as precise as possible). Note that this might be difficult to solve as my guess is that it is very specific to your setup (combination of OS + hardware). And solving a bug wi...

Re: Daw Sync Plug-In + Usamo comparison

Could you just give us the specs on what the audio stream should look like, I think it should be easy to make an instrument in Ableton that spits out the sync stream. Yes please :) Like Matt said just look at the files generated by the Sync File Generator tool, it's very simple, only 2 pulses, smal...

No sorry that will not work. Sync with DAW is probably one of the things that will be improved first - so just stay tuned, there will be info sent by email and on the Facebook group when there is something new ;)
For Ableton I will investigate to see if a Max4Live plugin would work :)

Re: Separate and Reset mode both enabled does not reset Port 2

Thank you very much Stefan for making the videos :) I moved the posts to a new topic for clarity - separating the preset/program change thing from this issue. If I understood well: On Video 1, the problem is that the pedal is acting only one MIDI Port 1 while the button is acting on both? That's bec...

Re: Programchange function

For the program change, yes I understand, but when would you send the porgram change message? at every tempo change? And then which value should it be? I think this could be implemented if Tempo Presets are implemented (see https://forum.midronome.com/viewtopic.php?t=211 ), then yes it would make se...

Re: Negative Offset/Shift/Latency

Ha ha well unless you have a time machine, you literally cannot move things backwards in time :D :D The only way I could potentially do it is to "predict" the future, i.e. say we are currently at tempo 120, 4/4, then I know when the device will be on the next beat so the negatively shifted...
