Thanks for the suggestion but unfortunately that will not be possible, not without changing the hardware at least
(the ring part of the plug is a simple digital input and will only accept a footswitch)

Re: Midronome Add-on Modules!
r.e. the Swing and Latency module - the blurb says "2 MIDI Outputs" but will they be able to output DIN Sync or will there be an analog output so we can swing a DIN sync signal? Would be great to be able to swing an 808, 303 etc with a variable swing amount. My thoughts were MIDI only but...

Re: Problems in BITWIG
Ok nice to hear! I guess to get them to appear in Bitwig there must be a "refresh" devices somewhere... Can you try removing the device and then adding it again?

Re: Midronome Add-on Modules!
i need to have my main notes device (Arturia Keystep 37) be able to send note data to the Midronome, and have the notes then passed on with Midi Thru to several synth devices.... Well you can already do this over USB - unless I misunderstood? Simply send the MIDI data from your Keystep to the compu...

Re: Nudge tempo function
Honestly I doubt this will ever be implemented in the device itself at this point. I'm sorry to say there has been little interest from the community. But with the add-on modules everything is possible, and making a module which adds this should not be that difficult ;) How would you guys implement ...

Hi Abel Thanks for writing here! No worries about the translated english - it is perfectly understandable. 1. The USB cable will not affect this :) What OS are you using? (I'll assume Windows) Is the device's firmware updated to 2.0? If yes, can you try deleting the Midronome from the Device manager...

Re: [Workaround] soling tracks ableton loses sync
Well you can thank Nektarios who just posted a solution in the Midronome FB Group: For users of (un)Ableton Live which still doesn't have a solo safe/defeat function and every time you solo something, your Midronome VST track gets muted (along with the clocks going to your hardware). Using the "...

Re: Clock Settings for MIDI Synths
Hi Adam
Thanks for asking here! The An.L, An.1 and An.2 settings are only affecting the clock coming out of the ANLG port, so if you are only using the MIDI Out 1 & 2 ports you can ignore those settings
Cheers

Re: Syncing Midronome to eurorack
Correct, you'll need an adapter TRS -> 2xTS It seems 3.5mm TS is not very common, so most of them you will find are 3.5mm male TRS -> 2x 6.35mm male TS (for example the one shown in the attachment) (TRS are the ones with "2 lines" while TS only have "1 line") Then you'll need an ...

Re: Midronome Add-on Modules!
@Bogdan: yes that's the idea, after Ableton Link (in fact it might come on the same module). But as I've written many places this is not easy, and to be honest I am not 100% sure it's within my abilities. My idea has been to get the algorithm from Ableton, but that might also be a challenge in terms...

Re: Syncing Midronome to eurorack
Glad you asked! :D If you configure the ANLG output as "DIN Sync", it will have a start/stop gate on the right/ring part of the plug, and run at 24ppq on the left/tip part of the plug (as per vintage Roland devices require on a DIN Sync plug). But Firmware 3.0 will come with a full Reset i...

Re: USB hub
Hi sineman, thank you for asking here! You can technically use software to forward the clock sent by the Midronome (over USB) to your devices (also over USB). But in this case the clock goes: Midronome -> USB cable -> computer -> forwarding software -> USB cable -> sequencer (on Mac, you can use for...

Thank you Dheeraj for sharing!! :D Very happy to hear you found a way that works for you. Just FYI you can get Ableton to follow the Midronome simply over USB by activating the "External sync" in Ableton. This way you do not need the extra cable and Tempo Follower. It's explained here: htt...

Re: 2 diffrent tempo's
Oh actually I did not think of this, but yes it would work: 2 Midronomes, one (slave) set with inP=2.4.P. and the the other as master, with An.L=PLA and An.1=12 Then connect a cable from the ANLG output of the master to the INPUT of the slave. Then press Play and there you go your slave is running a...

Hi all - after quite a few emails back and forth with HDGMax, I've come to the conclusion that this is related to the Note from section 4 of the User Guide , as shown in the attachment. So my guess is, like on MacOS, on iPadOS (and iOS probably?), if the Midronome is connected to the iPad before upg...

Fair point Peter, thank you - you were right disabling the monitoring was not very clear in the "How to sync with DAWs" PDF, it's now corrected. I'm not sure what you mean with the external audio device should be on the plugin's track? Like I show on the video, you simply need to drag and ...

Ok - well that's progress. Then you just have to keep following my steps ;) If you do hear the buzz, then connect a cable from that output to the Midronome "INPUT" plug. At this point the sync might work. If it still does not, try the following: Try turning the volume up Make sure the buzz...

Re: Still strugglign with Midi Jitter/Delay in Ableton
Sorry to hear Peter. Denis' manual is very specific to Ableton, I doubt it can easily be adapted for Bitwig. The problem is there are so many DAWs, and possible configurations - it's not possible to make a manual for every single one. I often give support and help people with things which are not Mi...

Re: 2 diffrent tempo's
I see - well usually the clock is the clock, then divisions or multiplications like this would be done by the receiving devices I'd say? Maybe investigate if your devices can do this ;) Alternatively, this is very easily possible using an add-on module - simple module designs are coming very soon, t...

I understood, Dheeeraj, but thanks for the extra clarification :) What I mean with "buzz" is not the metronome click, it's a loud buzz that should be coming out of the plugin (i.e. out of your audio interface ). Something similar to this - https://files.midronome.com/MidroSync-examples/125...

Re: Negative Offset/Shift/Latency
It can be done in the DAW of course, especially Ableton that is very easy to do this sort of thing, but in my other DAW which is Reaper, I have to use a plug in (ReaInsert) that induces over 4400 samples of latency...just to offset the Midronome back for like 11 msec. You want a negative delay, and...

Hi Dheeraj, Did you add the Midronome plugin on an empty track, and then route that track to a dedicated output on your RME? If so, could you please test this works, by plugging a pair a headphones on that output: you should hear a very loud buzz (when Ableton is playing). If you do not hear the buz...

Thanks for the feedback - interesting results, it seems AUM can see the input devices fine but not the output ones? That last test shows that everything is fine with your Midronome, as Windows can see the last two output devices (which are the MIDI Out 1 and MIDI Out 2 - Windows is just not ...
