Re: U-SYNC for Windows

Hi - as I have mentioned on the Facebook group, and being fully transparent here: U-SYNC for Windows might just never be a reality. We are doing everything we can, but the whole concept is to build precision software on the audio and underlying drivers layer of Windows, which in all honesty is unrel...

Re: Midronome not forwarding program change messages

Well, I thought the port for cc messages is not the same as for other MIDI info that should be forwarded? It's definitely the same USB-MIDI interface that is used, either the second one "MIDI Out 1" or the third one "MIDI Out 2" depending on which physical DIN port you want to f...

Re: Midronome not forwarding program change messages

I doubt it is a problem with Android since it works with CC messages and not PC messages. It must be something with BH. Also the fact that it crashes is a good point to bring to their support... :D

Re: Syncing Modular with DJ set

However, as already pointed by some in the forum, as soon as you try to change the bpm slightly away from the original bpm of the sync track, it doesn't work at all. Midronome (surprisingly) gets the original bpm (120) even when Ableton was speeded up to 125, so both decouple sync to disaster. Hi :...

Re: Midronome not forwarding program change messages

I see. But am I correct that the CC messages are working while the PC are not? If so I would really contact BH as they might be able to see something in their code. Mention to them that the issue is probably related to the fact that there are more than 1 pair of MIDI-USB interfaces.

Re: Midronome not forwarding program change messages

Nice progress :) So you're saying that BH is sending MIDI CC messages to the Midronome, but not PC messages? If so, then yes my guess is that they are sent to the wrong USB-MIDI interface. Remember you have 3 interfaces: "Commands", "MIDI Out 1", "MIDI Out 2". If you se...

Re: Midronome not forwarding program change messages

Hi Milos I did some quick testing and on the Midronome's side everything seems fine, both on MIDI Out 1 and MIDI Out 2. See the attached screenshot from pocket MIDI : MIDI Out Monitor window shows what I sent to the Midronome over USB, on the port called "Midronome Midi Out 1" MIDI In Moni...

Re: UADs Luna and Usync

Ha ha, that does not sounds so practical :D  But now that you have solved your issues with Logic, can you simply use it or would you still prefer using Luna? As I said we can consider adding support for it, getting it to work is probably just a matter of finding out why the DAW is not calling ...

Ok I think I've figured it out: - I noticed in the Midronome Manual that the setting for Logics Multithreading is set to 'Playback and Live Tracks' Awesome man, huge help, thank you! :D Logic 11 was not released actually while we were developping U-SYNC. Re: Issue syncing Logic X and Drum Machine

Hi Nate I am a bit confused as to what you have done, but here are some thoughts: In Logic there is a key point on the shift slider, which is about -37ms. Any value above that is internal shifting in the plugin, which does not use the DAW, and it usually works flawlessly (though in your case you are...

Re: UADs Luna and Usync

Hi Nate

Was that you who asked about Luna over email?
Luna is not officially supported unfortunately. My guess though is that it's not tons of work to get it to work, it's more a matter of testing it and adjusting a few things. Have you tried running the plugin in Luna?

Re: [U-SYNC] to support multiple Midronomes

One option I was thinking about, do you think you can add an option on the new VST plugin to the map an plugin’s instance to a specific midronome USB device ? Then you can have as much as VST running as midronome you have. That's an interesting idea indeed :) I will investigate. It would require th...

Re: [RELEASED] Firmware 3.0 & U-SYNC 1.0

Hi Simon, Is there a way to disable constant clock in 24P mode unless it's being received by the DAW (using Windows w/old plugin)? I know that's what 2.4.P. did before, but I wasn't sure if there was a hidden option that would allow me to stop it from running on its own while there's no transport f...

Re: Does the DAW Project's Timebase PPQ Affect Sync?

Hey Rob Interesting thoughts :) I think this "timebase PPQ" setting in FL is about sticking things to a grid, i.e. how fine do you want this grid to be. In other words what is the smallest "move" you can make in the DAW. I do not think it affect anything about the plugin. But as ...

Re: 1 bar analog click before sending midi start when used as a master clock

Hi :) Thanks for asking here - yes the Midronome already does that, both with U-SYNC (Mac only for now), with the 24P mode (sync to audio from DAW), and when acting as a Master (if you have the "Reset mode" enabled). :D Simon PS: moving this topic to the "questions" forums since ...

Re: [R] Midronome sends incorrect clock after stopping DAW (24P mode)

I guess I have to do some more testing. I suspect that my gear is set to Auto and when it receives a Stop message, it reverts to its internal clock, so it stops calculating the incoming midi pulses. Yes if that's the case it sounds like exactly what's happening - problem is it has time to get the &...

Re: Midronome sends incorrect clock after stopping DAW (24P mode)

Ideally, it should then send the original BPM and "catch up" the few ms it needed to conclude the external clock is stopped (lower than 30 bpm). You mean so that the timing is continuous? That's a whole different deal, and U-SYNC already does that extremely well. As for sending the tempo ...

Apologies for the extremely late reply :) The current hardware will be damaged by phantom power. Sending phantom power into the device is not allowed. This has been added to the manual and is now official, again sorry, this should have been made clear much earlier.

Re: Midronome can get power from Xone PX5 mixer?

Well as long as your mixer can deliver basic USB power (just the usual power from USB 1.1 back in the 90's), then yes it should work :D
Either way nothing bad will happen if it does not work, just try it ;)
