Re: Sync File Generator
This is already approved and even implemented :D But I've ben waiting for the certificates to sign the new version of the software (and I can imagine the mayhem if I release a new version that still has the signing issue) and the company giving out the certificates has been extremely slow... But hop...

Re: Daw Sync Plug-In + Usamo comparison
I'm confused with the plugin - doesn't it just need to spit out a pulse that is synced to the DAW tempo? Ha ha you're right - it "just" need, I also thought this was going to be easy  :D But basically the pulse needs to be exactly on time with the DAW transport - that's the difficult...

Partial Beat Detection / Tempo Following
This idea comes from Thomas who wrote it to me by email. Instead of having a full beat detection like the one for the add-on module (see https://forum.midronome.com/viewtopic.php?t=70 ), this would be about implementing a simpler algorithm which could just follow a Live drummer playing. The idea wou...

Re: Programchange function
Oh ok I get it, you have PLA set to Sep (separate) and Reset mode activated (Res set to ON), right? That's actually a good point, I never thought about this - I can see how when you press Reset (play button), it will: * resets the clock * send a MIDI Start message on port 1 * send nothing on port 2 ...

Amazing! Thanks for sharing
Regarding syncing the app, if it does not follow MIDI Clock this is not really possible? How else would you sync the app?

Re: DAWs following Midronome
I second this request -- I actually didn't realize it wouldn't be possible to slave my DAW, Reaper, to Midronome (my mistake) and this has severely impacted it's utility in practice. If I could give this kind functionality all 6 of my votes I would! Thanks for commenting :) I just want to point out...

Re: Daw Sync Plug-In + Usamo comparison
Damn, neither of the two DAW's I use support this obscure format (Bitwig and Reason). You mean the ARA format? Yea that's true. But they can both sync to MIDI Clock though. Just FYI I'm not against making a non-ARA plugin, but honestly it's not great because clearly the VST interface was designed t...

Hi Stefan, thank you so much for giving some feedback, and awesome to hear you're taking the Midro on tour with you! :) I am quite confused by your suggestion(s) though  The elektron machines do not sync to the Midronome? What do you mean with "separate clock outputs"? And what do yo...

Re: “All MIDI notes off” function
Thanks John for writing here. I like this, and especially once the MIDI notes forwarding has been implemented this will be very easy to add. Question 1 : would it be a problem if this is sent all the time (no deactivate option)? i.e. can anyone find a case where you would not want to receive All Not...

Re: Pad/footswitch recommendation for tap tempo
Happy to hear you like the device Ash :) Footswitches can pretty much be anything, and the Midronome will accept both latching and non-latching, as well as automatically detect the polarity. Drum pads can be a bit more tricky because some are more sensitive than others, but hopefully the 3 sensitivi...

Re: [A] Crash with Play and Mute simultaneous press
Ableton Live was sending MIDI via USB to the Midronome, while Midronome was starting Ableton Live, so I don’t know if maybe the Start/Stop commands sent back to the Midronome could have something to do. Good news Fernando, I was able to reproduce the issue. I thought it was an actual bug in the Mid...

Thanks Matt for the feedback and the kind words! Re: Daw Sync Plug-In + Usamo comparison
Hi all - here is the Alpha plugin for those who want to try it. => https://files.midronome.com/tools/plugin/old-plugin/midronome-alpha-plugin-macos.zip It's Mac only, not signed (see Readme file), and there will be no official Midronome support on it. But I tested it on StudioOne and it works ok as ...

Re: [A] DIN Sync / sync24 timing issues
It seems there is the same issue when syncing a Korg Volca using the ANLG plug. This actually helps a lot because they are much easier to get than these vintage machines :D With the Volca it's easily solvable since it has MIDI as well. But I'm hoping I can get my hands on a Volca, find the issue, so...

Re: will Analog Sync work with external hardware?
Sounds like you should create a new topic or ask on the Facebook group for a question like that - then you might get answers from the community as well ;) I am not sure I follow 100%, but what I can say is: With Audio Sync (DAW Sync) you will be able to loop part of your song at the beginning, then ...

Re: [A] Crash with Play and Mute simultaneous press
Thank you for the reply Fernando. I'll give another go at reproducing the issue. There must have been something that you were previously doing that caused the bug to appear, maybe some stuff running in the background, data sent to the device over USB for example. I have your precise configuration fr...

Thanks for the suggestion :) Regarding MTC, actually I did test it early on and I got terrible results. Re: Custom metronome click sounds
Oh I see :) Well basically the click sounds lie directly in the processor's memory which is very small. So there is space for about 4 more, hence my idea of making these 4 user configurable. You can consider all the other click sounds as just "bonus" click sounds, as these are not saved in...

Re: Daw Sync Plug-In + Usamo comparison
Hi all :) So I've spent the last week investigating the possibilities. There is a new (ish) plugin interface called ARA which is a huge step forward to make a decent DAW plugin. Any input? Sorry I must have missed your post somehow. I checked the files and imported them both in Studio One. They both work for me, the "does_not_work" one is not exactly at 120bpm though, more like 119.5bpm, so the display on the device is constantly changing between 119 and 120. It ...

Re: will Analog Sync work with external hardware?
There is no Ableton Link, at least not for now. As for being a master to the DAW, you can do this if your DAW can follow MIDI Clock (afaik: Ableton, Bitwig and Reason do). This syncing method is much easier to set up but it will not be as precise as Audio Sync. And I would suggest you use either MID...
