Re: USB hub
Hi sineman, thank you for asking here! You can technically use software to forward the clock sent by the Midronome (over USB) to your devices (also over USB). But in this case the clock goes: Midronome -> USB cable -> computer -> forwarding software -> USB cable -> sequencer (on Mac, you can use for...

Re: My Set Up working 100% on Ableton how i did it.
Thank you Dheeraj for sharing!! :D Very happy to hear you found a way that works for you. Just FYI you can get Ableton to follow the Midronome simply over USB by activating the "External sync" in Ableton. This way you do not need the extra cable and Tempo Follower. It's explained here: htt...

Re: 2 diffrent tempo's
Oh actually I did not think of this, but yes it would work: 2 Midronomes, one (slave) set with inP=2.4.P. and the the other as master, with An.L=PLA and An.1=12 Then connect a cable from the ANLG output of the master to the INPUT of the slave. Then press Play and there you go your slave is running a...

Re: Midi forwarding interfaces out 1&2 - AUM
Hi all - after quite a few emails back and forth with HDGMax, I've come to the conclusion that this is related to the Note from section 4 of the User Guide , as shown in the attachment. So my guess is, like on MacOS, on iPadOS (and iOS probably?), if the Midronome is connected to the iPad before upg...

Re: Still strugglign with Midi Jitter/Delay in Ableton
Fair point Peter, thank you - you were right disabling the monitoring was not very clear in the "How to sync with DAWs" PDF, it's now corrected. I'm not sure what you mean with the external audio device should be on the plugin's track? Like I show on the video, you simply need to drag and ...

Re: Please Help _total Noob! :( Exploding Brains.
Ok - well that's progress. Then you just have to keep following my steps ;) If you do hear the buzz, then connect a cable from that output to the Midronome "INPUT" plug. At this point the sync might work. If it still does not, try the following: Try turning the volume up Make sure the buzz...

Re: Still strugglign with Midi Jitter/Delay in Ableton
Sorry to hear Peter. Denis' manual is very specific to Ableton, I doubt it can easily be adapted for Bitwig. The problem is there are so many DAWs, and possible configurations - it's not possible to make a manual for every single one. I often give support and help people with things which are not Mi...

Re: 2 diffrent tempo's
I see - well usually the clock is the clock, then divisions or multiplications like this would be done by the receiving devices I'd say? Maybe investigate if your devices can do this ;) Alternatively, this is very easily possible using an add-on module - simple module designs are coming very soon, t...

Hi :) Sorry about that. It's a known issue, and there are plenty workarounds (the quickest being: use a TRS/stereo/balanced cable). Thanks for the question! Unfortunately this is not possible - why would you need two devices running at different tempos?

Re: Please Help _total Noob! :( Exploding Brains.
I understood, Dheeeraj, but thanks for the extra clarification :) What I mean with "buzz" is not the metronome click, it's a loud buzz that should be coming out of the plugin (i.e. out of your audio interface ). Something similar to this - https://files.midronome.com/MidroSync-examples/125...

Re: Negative Offset/Shift/Latency
Is there a way to add a mode (or if this is already possible without muting the channel of the plug in, via some setting, please let me know how...its my 2nd day with the Midronome) where pressing "PLAY' will give *instantaneous* clock output from the Midronome? As it is I can only get it to s...

Re: Negative Offset/Shift/Latency
It can be done in the DAW of course, especially Ableton that is very easy to do this sort of thing, but in my other DAW which is Reaper, I have to use a plug in (ReaInsert) that induces over 4400 samples of latency...just to offset the Midronome back for like 11 msec. You want a negative delay, and...

Re: Please Help _total Noob! :( Exploding Brains.
Hi Dheeraj, Did you add the Midronome plugin on an empty track, and then route that track to a dedicated output on your RME? If so, could you please test this works, by plugging a pair a headphones on that output: you should hear a very loud buzz (when Ableton is playing). If you do not hear the buz...

Re: Midi forwarding interfaces out 1&2 - AUM
Thanks for the feedback - interesting results, it seems AUM can see the input devices fine but not the output ones? That last test shows that everything is fine with your Midronome, as Windows can see the last two output devices (which are the MIDI Out 1 and MIDI Out 2 - Windows is just not ...

Re: Please Help _total Noob! :( Exploding Brains.
Hi Dheeraj Thanks for writing here :) Let's try this one step at a time: first get the Midronome to follow the tempo from Ableton. For this, you'll to: 1. install the Midronome VST plugin 2. load it on a track in your Ableton session 3. route that track to a dedicated output on your RME (nothing els...

Re: Midi forwarding interfaces out 1&2 - AUM
Hi :) It sounds like AUM only uses the first interface from each device. Could you check if you can see both INs interfaces (Clock only and Clock & Start)? If you cannot, it confirms my theory - the AUM only sees one pair of IN/OUT interface per device. If that is the case, unfortunately there i...

Re: Bi-directional DAW Sync
I'm afraid you misunderstood this. The Midronome as Clock and Transport Master is already possible (for Ableton at least): simply activate external sync in Ableton. But this has a few issues, the precision (since it is over USB-MIDI) for one, but also as you mentioned the latency (though you should ...

Re: Sync Style Start/Stop from Yamaha SX700
Hi Jonatas :) In this setup the 'Nome (nickname for the Midronome - invented by the community :D ) should be the master. It will send MIDI Clock to your SX700, and ideally you want to start the SX700 by pressing the Play button on the Nome. This way it will be in time with anything else connected to...

I do not think anyone has tried this yet? Looking at the NDLR manual - https://conductivelabs.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/The-NDLR-User-Manual-v1.7.pdf - it looks like it should just work fine? Bi-directional DAW Sync
Hi :) Quite a few people seem to be asking for this, and there is no topic to discuss it. The idea is to sync the Nome tightly to your DAW using the plugin, but at the same time to let your DAW be controlled by the Midronome. I think this could work if: DAW -> Nome is a synchronisation (i.e. tight) ...

Re: How to link tempo knob to DAW tempo (before hitting play button)?
Hey Rob Well I'd say it's amazing you already got it working both ways this far - I'm pretty sure you are the first! To answer your question - it must be a FL Studio setting, that the MIDI Clock is only taken into account when the DAW is playing. The Nome sends MIDI Clock constantly (expect in 2.4.P...

If I am not mistaken you just need to create an empty MIDI region in your Midronome track and the plugin will not be deactivated. Let me know if that works

Maybe sharing your Logic session as well could help :) EDIT : Ok after a good 30 minutes of fiddling with Logic, I can reproduce the error... But not with the Midronome plugin?
