Re: ROADMAP for Firmware 4.0
Looking forward to this one! :) Especially the improved tap tempo will possibly be a game changer for when you want to play along a live drummer with an arpeggiator or sequencer running. Currently, it is only possible to match the tempo, but if I understand it right, the improved tap tempo would cat...

Re: Negative Offset/Shift/Latency
Being able to add positive clock offset to any of the outputs would be perfect for me.

Re: Negative Offset/Shift/Latency
A separate module sounds great, but I do hope for a software update with this feature built in the current Midronome, accessible from the menu as well. It would be great to line up different devices with different latencies, where you just "set and forget" and don't need the hands-on contr...

So, is this feature (clock offset per output) being planned, or only considered?

Re: Still strugglign with Midi Jitter/Delay in Ableton
You need to use the External Audio Effect device to send the audio to the Midronome without delay.

Re: Still strugglign with Midi Jitter/Delay in Ableton
I`m also struggling with the delay/ latency problem. I also work in Ableton and i`m using a rme fireface UX Interface. I have a fix latency of 28-29 ms but without jitter, the clock is really stable. When i delay the Track where the Plugin is on, nothing happens. The delay on the Track also didn't ...

Re: Still strugglign with Midi Jitter/Delay in Ableton
Hey, I’ve been trying ever since I got my Midronome to make it work properly but no chance. Whatever what I do I ALWAYS get jitter/delay. So I waited for the 2.0 update and the plugin. Tried again, still NOT working. I am using Ableton Live 11, latest version. Macbook Pro i9. Audio interface is a K...

Re: Negative Offset/Shift/Latency
What if you use the E-RM plugin instead of a audio sync track?
I did find a way now (added the Ableton Delay device, but the smallest shift is only 1ms, can't shift by 0.1 ms for example), but it would be nice if the MIdronome was capable of doing this without the need of any extra plugins.

Re: Negative Offset/Shift/Latency
Not sure if this is already planned, but I love to be able to shift the offset (positive clock latency) of both tracks, not just one to compensate for the other.

Re: [DONE] Audio sync without 1 bar delay
Just FYI - that will definitely require a fair amount of beta-testing, ideally with as many different devices as possible. I had to do some pretty nasty things to be able to start the sync right away, in particular DIN sync / sync24 could be an issue (technically, from the first tick of the DAW it ...

Very excited about this. Tap tempo with a catch up mechanism is essential when playing with a band.

Re: will Analog Sync work with external hardware?
I would love to start any/every song with either a single loop played live or a sampl that sets the tempo and then utilizes the midronome's sync qualities to the fullest, ideally without the need for IEMS for a click to follow. for example: There's a song that has a predetermined bpm from a collect...

Re: will Analog Sync work with external hardware?
Maybe the hiccup comes from your cpu glitching? That can also create clicks in the output audio. Try raising the buffer size of your audio interface to see if that helps.

Re: Knob sensitivity
Interesting! Yes that's correct, the knob will "accelerate" when you turn fast, so that to switch from 50 to 300 you do not need 250 clicks (the knob has 24 clicks per turn, that would be more than 10 turns!). I actually spent a lot of time on this part of the code, to get the best feel w...

Re: Syncing Ableton and Midronome
I've unplugged everything apart from the connection to Ableton, and the Midronome metronome is definitely not in sync. The locked LED is orange, and I've got a green sync light when I'm in the sync settings. Warp mode is repitch and the clip BPM is set to the correct tempo. The tempo on the Midrono...

You may want to have a look at the Suonobuono nABC+, an analog, digitally controlled sidechain compressor: https://suonobuono.net/nabcp/ It can be triggered by audio, CV, MIDI DIN, MIDI USB, and is also MIDI CC controlled. Yet another west european engineer/scandinavian boutique product. :D Looks v...

Re: Feature request: more Resync options
I can feel and decide, but I think before any decision is taken I will need to hear multiple voices of Midronomists, I would rather avoid frustrated people that liked the fact it was 1 second :) Just FYI, you can also send MIDI Continue or MIDI CC messages to the Midronome over USB (and in the futu...

Re: [F] Minor feature - extend MIDI-USB CC Commands
I'd love a way to Start / Resync the outputs using a midi CC, like you did with the separate Stop messages as well. This would allow to start/resync from a running sequencer (like the DAW or Hapax) without having to actually send a Start message. Also, it would be great if the midi control channel (...

Re: Feature request: more Resync options
About request 1) Awesome! Hope so see a fix soon, as the TR-8S goes out of sync every time you send a program change to it (which is actually a bug Roland should fix, but it would be great to have the Midronome as a savior :)) About request 2) Yeah, I would love to have it as short as possible. But ...

Re: Resync does not work with Roland TR-8S
Maybe it is easier to reproduce like this: Start Midronome to send clock to the TR-8S. Then manually press Start/stop twice on the TR-8S, so it is clearly out of sync with the clock of the Midronome. Then hold the Start button on the Midronome to resync. The TR-8S should resynchronize to the clock, ...

Re: Audio Sync in Ableton -> latency compensation
Yes that would work as well, but you will have to manually adjust the latency every time a plugin adds more latency. The External Audio Effect just avoids having to hassle with adjusting latency alltogether. You should only use a regular audio track without External Audio Effect when you monitor on ...
