Re: 2 diffrent tempo's
I see - well usually the clock is the clock, then divisions or multiplications like this would be done by the receiving devices I'd say? Maybe investigate if your devices can do this ;) Alternatively, this is very easily possible using an add-on module - simple module designs are coming very soon, ...

Re: Drummer from Serbia
I took advantage of building a brand new TD50KV2 for the ship, so I can showcase how my usual setup looks with the added midronome and tablet. Note, the midronome now sits atop of the drum module, obstructing few function buttons, but nothing essential for performance.

Re: Tempo presets
Why I am thinking of a song mode app or, maybe even being able to access the "Tempo Preset" via midi cc or similar command, is simply to speed up the process when switching between songs :) :) Thanks for the feedback :) If/when presets are implemented, there will definitely be a possibili...

Re: Sleep? Or pulling the Plug?
And while we are discussing power saving, I always thought it could be useful to have a setting where the display turns off after x seconds of inactivity? This would really reduce the power consumption and would be really great if the device was battery powered for example. What do you guys think? ...

Re: Use the Midronome Dial to Control Daw
I think that would be very cool but I am not aware of any DAW (including Ableton) that supports "MIDI Commands" the same way that the Midronome does? I think most DAW support a control surface protocol which is usually not MIDI, and (of course  ) different from one DAW to another. S...

Re: Use the Midronome Dial to Control Daw
You're essentially asking if Midronome can be the master clock, while receiving the sync signal from the DAW at the same time. It is contradictory. Try using the Midronome as a master clock and send the tempo change via USB from DAW ( Midronome DAW plugin or any note to cc plugin). That way it can h...

Re: bpm formula for converting 6/8 time signature into x/4 on Midronome?
Hi, In this forum I've found a posting that Midronome cannot be switched to x/8 time signatures but it should be possible to use the x/4 time signatures after adapting the bpm. Could an expert please post the bpm formula for the usecase "convert a 6/8 time signature at 120 bpm to the correct x...

Drummer from Serbia
Hi all, sorry for the late introduction, I have just received my Midronome during a contract on a cruise ship, so things are a bit hectic. I'm Miloš from Belgrade, drummer, singer, sound engineer and an amateur cyclist. Was looking for a device like this for a long time, though it's a bit overkill (...

Re: Sync to 1-12ppq signal + improved tap tempo
I strongly support this feature, as it can open up more possible uses for the Midronome. I think a lot of people mistake the current stated syncing options of Midronome for this 'sync to all signals', simply because they (me included) whish it does

Re: Android BandHelper with Midronome MIDI cc
Amazing, Milos, well done! Sorry if the manual is not clear! How would you write this paragraph, then, keeping it relatively short? manual.png Thanks Simon The Midronome works in my particular setup even when only connected to android device via OTG cable without any USB hub or external power suppl...

Re: Knob sensitivity
But I thought you were changing the tempo from the app over USB anyways? :D Not to get into much unnecessary details about my gigging, there is always a possibility of going outside the BandHelper list, then turning the knob is the fastest way to set the new tempo. That happens pretty often (I alre...

Knob sensitivity
Couldn't find anything on this. Maybe because nobody cares... The main knob on the Midronome has an 'accelerating' nature, which is fine I guess, considering the wide range of tempos to scroll trough. As a drummer, I got used to scroll through bpm-s on Roland modules which have a linear wh...

No problem, fixed the typoDark Waves wrote: ↑23 Jul 2023, 06:13 Thanks for this breakdown. It does help clarify the description in the manual, and I'll save the post as a reference. Could you edit the second line for CC88, though, which should be CC89? I think that's a typo.

Re: Android BandHelper with Midronome MIDI cc
Ok, I finally got it... For mine and anybody else's reference, when making tempo change presets (USB commands): CC85=0 followed by CC86=30-127 gives tempo change between 30 and 127 BPM CC85=1 followed by CC86=0-127 gives tempo change between 128 and 255 BPM CC87=0-127 gives tempo change between 60 a...

Re: Android BandHelper with Midronome MIDI cc
The screenshots were taken from various attempts, the forum allows only 3 per post so I shared just few examples... Anyhow, I see that this works just fine, just have to wrap my head around other cc options for tempo change, in case I need it in the future. I have made presets for 100+ tempos and as...

Re: Android BandHelper with Midronome MIDI cc
I think your "numbering" set to 1-128 is confusing, since you need to shift all the values by 1 ;) Try setting it to 0-127 :) I have tried this as well, but it didn't make any difference. After some time, I have tried using cc87 and that finally worked! Luckily, I have no need for tempos ...

Re: sidechain compressor
Thank you for the reply. You want the compressor to act on every beat so that it ducks the kick, you get that pumping feeling which you tweak to taste with the attack/release settings. Off topic, as far as I know, this pumping effect is achieved by sending the kick signal to a sidechain on a compre...

Android BandHelper with Midronome MIDI cc
Hello all. I have a question about sending cc tempo change to Midronome using android tablet and BandHelper app. I have connected the two devices via USB hub and an OTG cable, created a new MIDI device in the app (app recognizes the Midronome, there are input and output ports and some MIDI activity ...

Re: Syncing midronome with iPad´s stage traxx 3 (backing track app)
If I can just add a question about this... I'm using a different app (android based) and would like to send tempo changes to the Midronome. Which MIDI channel is used to do this? There are only cc commands stated in the manual, but no specific channel.
